THE EVENT DIRECTORS
Jill began racing in winter ultras when she realized she could combine her love of camping and endurance sports in her favorite season to ride! There's something about staying warm in the cold, the sound snow makes crunching under fat bike tires, and just self-propelling along a winter playground that makes you feel a little heartier and a little more confident with everyday life. Thanks to support from 45nrth and Salsa Cycles, Jill has been able to set goals as a winter ultra athlete.

Dan has been wrenching on bikes for the last 18 years. He is a head mechanic and suspension specialist at Grand Rapids Bicycle Company. He has always enjoyed the backwoods: camping, fishing, and riding. He has put his love of bikes and mechanics to use by assisting with Michigan Coast Rider's Troll ride. He has picked up a lot of experience while spending time outside and he's a great resource when it comes to getting your rig ready for the adventure and packing the correct tools for the job.
We met through bikes and connected over our love of playing outdoors. One of our favorite things to do together is to load up and camp in the cold. Bundling up, exploring, warming up next to a bonfire, and waking up to beautiful snowy woods? Yes, please.
